The Fujairah U-14 team lost to Al Ain (B) 7-4 in a thrilling match that took place at Al Ain’s stadium, as part of Round 3 of the Group Stage of the UAE Youth Cup (Group 3). The match was filled with intensity and fast-paced action throughout both halves.
First Half: Goals and excitement galore
Al Ain started the game strong and took the lead early in the 5th minute through Mohammad Raed. However, Fujairah quickly leveled the score at the 18th minute. Al Ain regained the lead in the 29th minute through Abdulkarim Al-Azza. Yet, the young Wolves displayed incredible fighting spirit, with Nahyan Saeed equalizing again in the 36th minute. Just five minutes later, Fujairah’s Seif Saleh put them ahead 3-2 in the 41st minute, giving the young Wolves a deserved lead as the first half was nearing its end. But the final moments of the half saw a dramatic twist. Al Ain managed to equalize in the 42nd minute, as Abdulkarim Al-Azza scored his second goal. Then, in stoppage time (45+2), Mohammad Mansour added a fourth for Al Ain, sending the teams into the break with Al Ain leading 4-3.
Second Half: Red card swings the game in Al Ain’s favor
Fujairah started the second half with determination, looking to fight back. However, they suffered a major setback in the 64th minute when Ali Khalaf was sent off by referee Khalifa Al-Bloushi. Al Ain quickly capitalized on the numerical advantage, with Ibrahim Al-Hamadi scoring their fifth goal just two minutes after the red card. In the 71st minute, Hamid Al-Junaibi made it 6-3 for Al Ain. Fujairah did not give up and responded with a goal from their top scorer, Badr Darwish, reducing the gap to 6-4 in the 73rd minute. Despite continued pressure in the final 15 minutes, Al Ain’s Mishal Ahmed sealed the game with their seventh goal, finishing the match 7-4 in favor of the hosts.
Group Standings and Ranking
With this loss, Fujairah remains on 3 points in 4th place, while Al Ain raised their total to 6 points, moving up to second place, 3 points behind leaders Al Jazira.
