The UAE Pro League board decided on Thursday during their meeting, which was held via video conferencing, to reschedule Fujairah’s clash with Al Wahda at Fujairah Stadium in matchweek 24 of the Arabian Gulf League for May 15, instead of the previously scheduled date of May 3.

The rescheduling aligns with the concerned authorities’ decision, which obligates all missions arriving from India to adhere to precautionary measures due to the pandemic situation in the country. Therefore, Al Wahda team will undergo quarantine and will not be allowed to take part in any official game for seven days after their arrival.

The UAEPL confirmed that it always prioritizes the public interest and the health and safety of the community over the clubs’ interests while adhering to the competitions’ regulations and according to developments related to this match.

The meeting was chaired by UAE Pro League Chairman Abdulla Naser Al-Jneibi and attended by Vice-Chairman Jamal Hamed Al Marri and board members Mohammed Obaid Al Yammahi, Hassan Taleb Al Marri, Tareq Ali Al Shabeebi, Saeed Obaid Al Kaabi, and Jawaher Abdulaziz Al Suwaidi in addition to CEO Waleed Al Hosani and Business Development Director Dr. Khalid Mohammed Abdullah.
